Style Guides

The QHS English department has adopted the MLA format as the official guideline for citing sources for all research work. The links on the library home page are provided to assist you in correctly formatting your Works Cited page and in citing sources within your paper. Click here for additional examples you may use as guidelines. ~~Mrs. Kemp

General tips for writing the Works Cited or Bibliography page:

Remember to get all of the bibliography information from your sources. This can be found on the title page and on the back of the title page.
Alphabetize all entries.
Double-space multiple lines of one entry.
Double space between entries.
All lines of one bibliography entry after the first line should be indented 5 spaces.
Do not number entries.
Web addresses should be the same font color and size as the rest of the entries.
If there is no author, start with the title.
